The Aleksić Prokupac is a characterful red wine from Southern Serbia, made from 100% Prokupac, Serbia's most significant autochthonous red grape variety. Produced by the renowned Aleksić winery in the Vranje region, this wine combines traditional origin with modern vinification. An 18-month maturation in barrique barrels lends it additional depth, structure, and elegance, without overpowering the varietal fruit character. An authentic representative of Serbian wine culture with a distinct personality.

Tasting Notes

In the glass, the Aleksić Prokupac shows an intense ruby red with vibrant reflections. The bouquet is dominated by ripe red fruits, accompanied by spicy nuances and fine earthy and mineral notes. On the palate, juicy cherry aromas, subtle woody notes, and silky tannins unfold, giving the wine an elegant structure. Its medium to full body and long, fruit-driven finish make it an expressive and harmonious red wine.

Serving Suggestion

Enjoy the Aleksić Prokupac ideally at 16–18 °C in a generous red wine glass. It pairs excellently with game dishes, braised meats, duck dishes, mushroom dishes, pasta with rich sauces, and aged cheeses. This wine also beautifully accompanies traditional Serbian specialties.
