This wine was created thickly in the vineyard, the yield per vine was reduced, and the grapes were harvested and selected from the Medvedovo vineyard, a historic wine-growing location in the Republic of Croatia. For a full 18 months, Private Collection Trdenic Skrlet was aged on fine lees and acquired a serious structure, while retaining varietal characteristics. The intensity of the scent has been lowered, and width and layering have been obtained. Varietal aromas such as white fruit, white meadow flowers, acacia, linden are still present, but enhanced by nutty, spicy and buttery notes. The taste follows the aromas, the large extract easily copes with the not small 13.5% alcohol, and the pronounced mineral freshness gives it balance and noticeable strength. This Private Collection Skrlet from Trdenic winery is lightly full-bodied, very easy to drink and calls for the next sip. In the retro taste, you can feel just a little bit of bitterness, which only contributes to the overall complexity. Desirable for collectors due to the possibility of long-term aging.
