Budimir Red Wine Prokupac Boje Lila 0.75L

Budimir Prokupac Boje Lila is a red wine made from 100% Prokupac, Serbian indigenous grape variety. The name literally means “Prokupac color purple” because wine from Prokupac grape has purple reflections when it’s young.

It is a single vineyard wine from 120 years old family vineyards. It is made by fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks for about 21+ days, and then aged for 4 years in new and old French and Serbian oak 225 l and 3000 l. On the nose it is very fruity followed by aromas of cherry, raspberries, mint leaves, plum jam, cedar wood. It also has very complex bouquet with scents of leather and vanilla.

On the palate, it is medium plus bodied, with well integrated wood notes, sweet spices, well-balanced with pleasant tannins and long aftertaste. It matches perfectly with roasted meat and spicy dishes.
